My 11 year old daughter asked for this book for her birthday. She's just learning to experiment with make-up and loves fashion and this book is perfect. The title of the book is exactly what it is...an ultimate guide to beauty. This was a great purchase and we were not disappointed.
bought this for our middle school library and it has been a great success, especially with a special needs student who is a reluctant reader. This books caught her attention and she has read it voraciously
It's not really a straightforward guide. It's more like a compilation of looks taken from their magazines. There are many images and examples providing an excellent resource for inspiration.
I bought this book for my daughter for Christmas and she loves it. She loves the tips and ideas and it's perfect for a young girl that is new to makeup and beauty supply use.

this book has makeup and hair ideas for everything type of event and everyday of the week, no matter what your style is. this is perfect for any girl you has an interest in nails, makeup, or hair.
The product itself is fine, book was in great condition. The problem is the actual content. It lacked enthusiasm and knowledge about the subject - beauty - and I found myself yawning at times. It didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. Very basic information, how to apply eyeliner and several sections divided by your "style," such as boho, rocker glam or whatever, prep, etc. Overall, it was kind of boring. Good for beginners though.

Plus it tells you the best kinds of products for your skin type and great mani pedi tips. It also provides a customizable guide for the best colors for your skin tone and best products for your hair type. The only thing that would make it better would be if it had given the best brands of hair and makeup products.
