This book does the work for you - it's incredible. It thinks ahead for you, to keep the decision making simple. I'm building a house, and used this book to guide me through the process. It would have been a completely different outcome had I not used this book. The worksheets make it simple, and Wiggins highlights danger zones and is always one step ahead. I can't recommend it enough.
I absolutely love this book! It is so well written and easy to follow, especially for someone who has no idea where to begin in the complicated process of building a home. It is the most straight forward and comprehensive book on this topic I have ever read! A smart book, enjoyable to read with beautiful pictures!! Highly recommended!
I'm so happy with this book selection! Kristina brings all the hard decisions down to size and keeps it simple. There are so many tips in this book that you wouldn't even know to ask or wonder about. I was 100% prepared when meeting with our selected builder and architect. I feel much more comfortable and educated with this process. Thank you!!!!
I'm sure this book is an excellent resource for lots of people, just not for us. The book is more of a workbook-style planner than a resource of tons of information. If you like filling in lots of blanks to guide you through the homebuilding process, and make sure you think of all the details, this could be a very good book for you. However, if you're looking to answer questions like the pros and cons of enclosed soffits vs. open soffits as it relates to cost and maintenance, this is not for you. I don't even think the word soffit is in the book. Just not as much detail and guidance as we were expecting.
When you decide to remodel your kitchen, bathroom or your whole house, this is the book to have! This book gives you information on everything and the app that goes with the book gives you the ability to compare fixtures and features you may like side-by-side and take pictures of your favorite design keeping you organized!
A great instrument for atone building a house a home. Wonderful to use for reconstruction ad rwmodals. Highly recommended.
